Holistic health preservation has tradition
Bad Kreuznach was already a glamorous bathing resort and very much liked by the German higher nobility in the middle of the 19th century. Even today, the three health spas Bad Kreuznach, Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg and Bad Sobernheim still make use of the regions natural healing springs. In Bad Sobernheim, at the beginning of the last century, the ‘Clay Pastor’ Emanuel Felke treated his patients very successfully with air baths, uncooked vegetarian diet, exercise and above all with clay.
In the Salinental valley between Bad Kreuznach and Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg, 13 graduation works provide salty and soothing air. Bad Kreuznach has the only radon tunnel for inhalation therapy in Germany and a bathhouse with one of the most beautiful sauna and bathing areas. In Bad Sobernheim, the tried and tested Felke cure is based on the four elements ‘light, air, water and clay’ and guarantees a holistic ‘feeling of well-being’. A three kilometre long barefoot path combines family-friendly experience and recreation in the Felke city.
The extensive forests of the Soonwald heights and the expanse of the Hunsrück plateau offer peace, solitude and a relaxing nature experience.
